Kia ora lovely humans!
Is anyone out there?
Are you longing for community and support?
A lovely friend of mine reached out asking for some advice around Aware Parenting and when we delved a little deeper - I felt her need for community.
This parenting gig is tricky sometimes, hey? It can feel big and overwhelming and isolating and wonderful and magical and ALL. THE. THINGS.
Would it help to have an online and a face to face space to unravel a little? To share, to feel seen, heard, to feel like we’re in this together even though sometimes it feels like we’re the only one going through something, or parenting this way, or navigating something big, or wanting to share our achievements with?!
I’m thinking about creating an online circle with an Aware Parenting focus where we can come together say, once a month online and share what it’s like for us, or perhaps explore certain themes or challenges? And then, invite people to meet up with those other families living locally to them face to face once a month too? What do you think? Does this resonate with you? Is this something that feels like it would meet your need for community? Do you have a need for community? Or is there some other need of yours that yearns to be met? I’m so willing for you to share it with me if you feel called to do so!
Māmā melody for the month:
The Māmā melody for this month is Ride the Storm by Goldford, because sometimes that’s what it feels like - a bit tricky, a bit stormy and you’re grateful for your ride or die friends to pull you through.
Thank you for being part of this community. I appreciate you!
Aroha nui,
Kirsty
